East Asia Project - Summer 2010

East Asia
Can you imagine being in a culture that is starving for Truth, but has never heard of the name of Jesus before?
We had the privilege of helping lead a group of 8 students on the AIA East Asia Project.  We saw the Lord move in and through us in some HUGE ways!  We had many opportunities for evangelism and discipleship this summer.  Many East Asians heard the Good News - many for the first time ever!  God is at work all over the world. Thanks so much for all of your prayers and support!  Check out the picturesbelow to get some snapshots of what our summer looked like...

Ultimate Training Camps - Summer 2009

As you know each summer we get to serve with a Summer Opportunity for athletes to invest their summer and grow in their faith. This summer we had the opportunity to work at the Ultimate Training Camps in Fort Collins, CO. (May 18-June 8th) It was amazing to see how God transformed the lives of over 200 athletes (from over 50 schools around the country) as they learned Biblical principles for integrating faith and sport. Please check out this video clip to get a better idea of what these athletes got to experience! Praise God for what He's done!

Urban Project - Los Angeles 2008

The heart of downtown Los AngelesA very significant part of our summer 2008 was when we were serving with Athletes in Action's mission trip for athletes who wanted to serve in the urban poor community of Los Angeles, CA.  We led a group of 25 athletes from around the country in wrestling with issues of race, diversity, power struggle, and intense poverty.  We would have teaching time and Bible studies every morning and evening.  Each afternoon we would go to ministry sites Jayne and a new friend where we would apply what we were learning as we loved-on and encouraged children and these poor
areas of LA through after-school programs.  Jayne and I had the privilege to pour into not only the lives of the college athletes that were a part of this summer project, but also the many people that the Bible refers to as "the least of these."
